Founded by businessman and investor Mark Scheinberg, Mohari seeks to invest in long-term projects within the luxury hospitality sector, primarily in prime urban and resort markets. Homewood Mountain Resort sits on the west shore of Lake Tahoe and is the only ski-in ski-out mountain with lakefront access in the United States. In March 2022, Mohari became the main equity investor in the redevelopment of Homewood in partnership with JMA Ventures and Discovery Land Company. The new development will have a strong focus on exclusivity, featuring modern chalets and condos designed by acclaimed local architect Clare Walton and world-renowned architect Olson Kundig.
